About Me

Laura is a specialist in the field of sustainable tourism. After studying in Paris, teaching English in Italy, and backpacking around Europe, she spent two years leading tours with Intrepid Travel in Morocco, Russia, Mongolia, and China. She earned her MA in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, and her field research in Egypt focused on the intersections of tourism and community development. Her modus operandi is the idea that tourism should benefit the people who live in the destination as much as it benefits the travelers who go there.

Travel. Insight. Sustainability.
